20 Jahre Streamingdienst – viele Top-20-Listen. Am 23. April 2026 begeht Spotify sein Firmenjubiläum und veröffentlicht einige Auswertungen der erfolgreichsten Künstler:innen, Songs und Alben der letzten zwei Jahrzehnte.
Wenig überraschend belegt Taylor Swift den ersten Platz der meistgestreamten Künstler:innen aller Zeiten und lässt damit Bad Bunny und Drake hinter sich. Insgesamt werden nur vier Plätze in der Liste von Frauen belegt und der Großteil von ihnen kommt aus den USA. Die Ausnahmen sind Drake und Justin Bieber aus Kanada, Ed Sheeran und Coldplay aus Großbritannien, BTS aus Südkorea und J Balvin aus Kolumbien.
Bei den Songs führt seit jeher The Weeknd mit „Blinding Lights“ die Auswertung an. Mit über 5,3 Milliarden Abrufen liegt der Welthit derzeit noch vor „Shape of You“ (4,8 Milliarden Streams) von Ed Sheeran und „Sweater Weather“ (4,5 Milliarden Streams) von The Neighbourhood.
In diesen beiden Listen sowie in der Auswertung der Alben, in der Bad Bunny mit „Un Verano Sin Ti“, The Weeknd mit „Starboy“ und Ed Sheeran mit „÷“ das Podium belegen, sucht man vergeblich nach deutschen Acts, obwohl der hiesige Markt seinen Exportfaktor laut Conny Zhang von Spotify kontinuierlich steigert.
Allerdings ist Deutschland einer der wichtigsten Podcast-Märkte: Gleich fünf deutsche Shows platzieren sich in den Top 20 der Podcasts aller Zeiten. „Gemischtes Hack“ von Tommi Schmitt und Felix Lobrecht ist seit 2019 exklusiv bei Spotify verfügbar und belegt im weltweiten Ranking Platz zwei. Damit landet die Show nur knapp hinter der „Joe Rogan Experience“, aber noch vor „Crime Junkie“. Ebenfalls aus Deutschland platzieren sich „Fest & Flauschig“ (Platz sieben), Spotifys weltweit erster Exklusiv-Podcast, sowie „Mordlust“, „Baywatch Berlin“ und „Hobbylos“ unter den 20 weltweit meistgehörten Shows.
