We are looking for an A&R Associate (junior/mid-level) to join our Berlin office.

The role will primarily involve working with the songwriters and artists currently signed to Concord Music Publishing and collaborating in finding new songwriters and artists to sign. Supporting the A&R team in all tasks related to writer services and their repertoire.

What you’ll do:
  • Work with current writers/artists signed to Concord Music Publishing
  • Writers
    • Look for writing opportunities
    • Build a strong relationship with the writers and their managements
    • Ensure their songs are delivered and registered with the copyright department
  • Artists
    • Build a relationship with the artists and their managements
    • Stay on top of their diaries/schedules
    • Ensure their songs are delivered and registered with the copyright department
  • Collaborate to find new artists/writers to sign to Concord Music Publishing
  • Interface with the industry to secure creative opportunities for our writers
  • Assist in travel arrangements organization of writing trips for our writers
  • General administrative tasks within the office to support the A&R team
  • Organize, facilitate and attend A&R related events
What You’ll Bring:
  • Extremely passionate about music, particularly pop music
  • At least 2 years experience in music publishing, A&R or comparable roles within the music industry
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the German music landscape
  • Excellent communication skills in German and fluent English in speech and writing
  • Bright, enthusiastic and organized
  • Computer savvy – Proficient in PC programs and B2B knowledge of social media; CMS experience preferred
  • Confident communicator
  • Positive attitude & genial, open manner
  • Team player
  • Willingness to accept direction
